How can we stay in touch?
Anybody freak out about the Facebook, Instagram & Whatsapp blackout this week? Did you panic that you couldn’t contact the small business you’d ordered from? Wondered if they’d got your order written down somewhere in case that was the end of Social Media as we know it? Well today I’m going to reassure you of how your order with Teal Fox Designs is still safe even IF FB/IG/WA were to vanish.
Monday afternoon caused mayhem. I was waiting to hear back from a customer to just confirm their address hadn’t changed. Then BOOM, error. Refresh. Error. Check my phone. Error. Great, no FB/IG I thought. Ahh well, it was nearing the end of my day so I was just grateful that Royal Mail Click & Drop was still working so I could pay and apply postage to the orders I had printed. I’d take the gamble that my customer's address hadn’t changed. I knew it was on me if it went wandering and didn’t arrive.
But, it did get me thinking about the “what ifs” … you know, what if Social Media as we know it vanished. FOREVER. What if FB died. Then what?
Well, I got you covered. Because I am a small business I am very open to all the ways you can get in touch. So, besides Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp here’s the top 5 other ways you can get in touch;
- Email - you can email me on either hello@tealfoxdesigns-co-uk.stackstaging.com or tealfoxdesigns@outlook.com - they go to the same inbox. And my inbox is synced on my phone so I should be notified if you don’t end up in the Junk Mail folder.
- Text - You can text me. 07972 831 368. This is my work number so quite often on a weekend or on an evening it will stay in my bag. I do try and remember it’s there though and keep a check. Please do not call this number. There is an auto call divert on it so it will not ring and I will not know you’ve tried contacting me.
- Telegram - This is a messenger app available on all phones. I’m on there with both my business and my personal phone numbers. So you can add the number above as a contact and message me that way. My username is @TealFoxDesigns so you'll know it's me and I think you can even search for me!
- Pinterest - I’ve just found out there is a messaging function on Pinterest. This is another platform I’m slowly starting to build up. So do pop over and check out my Pins.
- LinkedIn - I’m going to try and start using this for my business. It’s a platform built for businesses so makes sense really. Feel free to send a connect request if you're on there.
Whilst Whatsapp IS working though...
Did you know I've got a few Whatsapp Broadcast groups set up for anybody who wishes to join them? They're basically groups I can send one message out to multiple people, but nobody else except you can see your replies. Just like a normal Whatsapp convo really!
At the moment I have 3 Broadcast Groups set up;
- VIP - exclusive VIP offers and testing opportunities.
- Christmas - somewhere I can share my Christmas products ALL YEAR ROUND. So if you're a christmas-aholic then you want to be in this group.
- Super Awesome SBO - for those Small Business Owner specific products & offers.
